Admin respects Shaddai’s decision to pick few TU bets

The administration would simply respect and accept the choices the of El Shaddai and its leader Brother Mike Velarde to endorse just a handful of the Team Unity candidates. TU campaign spokesman and Tourism Secretary Joseph Felix Mari Durano said this would not deter the administration bets from continuously campaigning for the whole slate. “Team Unity respects the choices of Brother Mike, however, Team Unity will continue to work for 12-0," he said. Lakas Christian Muslim Democrats regional chairman for Region 8 Sergio Antonio Apostol said the administration party continues to hope that all of TU bets would be endorsed by El Shaddai. Apostol said as far as he knows there is no formal talk between Lakas and El Shaddai though some members of Team Unity have met with Velarde. “There were promises (from El Shaddai) but no commitment," he said. He said an endorsement would be a big boost for the Team Unity candidates, whose majority continues to lag behind in the surveys. Cabinet secretary Ricardo Saludo said the people should be wary of surveys adding that it is not reflective of the actual results of the May 14 elections. Saludo said only the people and their actual votes could determine the fate of the candidates and survey should not preempt them. - GMANews.TV
